About Us
Professional Building Control. Personal Service.
Dainty Proudlove Building Control provides professional building control services across Greater Manchester and the surrounding areas.
Founded by experienced building control professionals Jonathan Proudlove and Joseph Dainty, the company has been established to provide a knowledgeable, responsive and personal approach to building control.
We work with homeowners, developers, contractors and design professionals across a range of residential and commercial projects, providing clear communication and practical guidance throughout the building control process.
Who we are
Dainty Proudlove Building Control was founded by Jonathan Proudlove and Joseph Dainty, two experienced building control professionals with extensive experience working within the built environment.
As Registered Building Inspectors, Jonathan and Joseph bring significant technical knowledge and practical experience to the business, having worked across a wide variety of projects throughout their careers.
The business has been built around a straightforward principle: clients should receive a professional building control service with direct access to experienced people who understand their project.

Why We Established Dainty Proudlove Building Control
Dainty Proudlove Building Control may be a new business, but the experience behind it has been developed over many years within the building control profession.
We established the company because we wanted to provide a building control service centred around professional relationships, accessibility and continuity.
Our aim is to combine the technical standards expected of a modern building control provider with the personal service of an independent business.
Clients have direct access to the Registered Building Inspectors responsible for their projects, helping to maintain clear communication from the initial application through to completion.
Our Approach
We believe effective building control starts with good communication.
Every project is different, and our approach is therefore proportionate to the nature, complexity and risks associated with the work.
We aim to engage with clients and their project teams at an early stage, identify potential compliance matters and maintain clear communication as construction progresses.
Our role is to independently assess compliance with the Building Regulations. While we cannot act as the designer or take responsibility for design decisions, we aim to communicate clearly where further information or action is required.
By remaining directly involved in the projects we manage, we can provide clients with continuity throughout the building control process.
Professional Standards
Building control is a regulated profession, and maintaining professional standards, competence and independence is fundamental to the way we operate.
Dainty Proudlove Building Control undertakes building control work only within the scope of its registration and the competence of the Registered Building Inspectors involved.
Our approach is founded on professional judgement, impartiality and proportionate regulatory decision-making, with appropriate systems in place to support quality, competence and effective oversight.
Dainty Proudlove Building Control is a Registered Building Control Approver regulated by the Building Safety Regulator.
